Prairie View's homecoming coronation tops off week of activities

A week full of activities that began on Monday, Sept. 22, with painting shop windows in Parker and La Cygne, theme days, powderpuff football and a bonfire on Thursday, and the Friday crowning of the 2025 homecoming queen and king, a game that saw the Buffalos roll over Burlington and a post-game dance. It couldn't have gone much better for coordinator Aaron Law and the students, teachers, and parents that made the week possible.

The staff of the First Option Bank branch in La Cygne presents a check for more than $35,400 to Prairie View Superintendent Chris Johnson during a break in the game. The money comes from earnings by customers who have a Prairie View credit card.
