Quenton Jeremain Stilson

Quenton Jeremain Stilson, age 42, of Paola, Kansas, passed away Monday, May 4, 2026. He was born October 28, 1983, in Aurora, Illinois, one of two children born to Eugene Reed and Donna Stilson. He shared a close bond with his older sister, Tawana.


Quenton moved to the Paola area from Millington, Tennessee, nearly 20 years ago and made it his home. On October 24, 2016, he married the love of his life, Shelbey Penn, in Linn Valley, Kansas.


Quenton dedicated approximately 19 years of service to Lakemary, where he was known as a hardworking and compassionate caregiver who deeply cared for his clients. His work reflected the kindness and patience that defined who he was.


He had the biggest heart and a gentle soul. Quenton never knew a stranger and offered kindness to everyone he met. He treasured time spent with his family and friends, loved being around his animals, and enjoyed trying his luck at the casino.


He was preceded in death by his mother, Donna Kay Stilson; his grandmother, Sue Stilson; and his grandfather, Patrick Stilson.


He is survived by his beloved wife, Shelbey Stilson; his daughters, Arianna and Emersyn; his father, Eugene Terry Reed; his sister, Tawana; his aunt, Julie Ratliff; and his bonus family, Sandy Hinrich-Arens, James Ludes, Corey Hinrich (wife Laura Hinrich), Kari Ludes-Atchison, Emily Ludes, Sophie Arens, and Luke Howell, along with many other cherished relatives and friends.


Quenton will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
