Roberta May Staton

Roberta May Staton, age 100, Pleasanton, Kansas, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2025.  She was born on April 23, 1925, in Hartford, Michigan, the daughter of Orlie and Emma Roberts Brown.  Roberta was united in marriage to Eugene Staton on November 11, 1944.  He preceded her in death on June 28, 1993. She was a member of the Pleasanton Christian Church, Order of Eastern Star, P.E.O., and Daughters of the Nile.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Kenneth Brown; two sisters, Doris Morton and Lois Cjuhjewsky; and two grandsons, Todd and Branden.  Roberta is survived by three sons, James Staton and wife Anna, Dale Staton and wife, Carol, and Raymond Staton; five grandchildren, Joy, Melissa, Eric, Amy and Amber; and fifteen great-grandchildren.  

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, November 30, 2025, at the Schneider Funeral Home, Pleasanton Chapel.  Burial will be in the Pleasanton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to service time at the Chapel.  Memorial contributions are suggested to Vintage Park or Ascend Hospice.  Online condolences can be left at www.schneiderfunerals.com.
