Sheriff's report for the week ending Aug. 31

MOUND CITY – The Linn County’s Sheriff’s report for Tuesday, Sept. 3 showed that the current numbers for the week ending Aug. 31 were:


• Total prisoners at the Justice Center the past week were 70. Thirteen prisoners were released the past week.

• Total prisoners in were 69.

• One prisoner was sent to another facility. 

• Fifty-two prisoners were from other facilities (30 USMS/22 WYCO)($4,125/day)• Total 911 calls were 66.

• There were 4,622 jail contacts.                                                                                                       • Total calls for service were 575. 

• Total civil service papers served were 14.

• There were five vehicle identification number (VIN) inspections.

• Eleven new cases (criminal, child in need of care, etc.) were opened.

• Seven cases were closed.

• There were two vehicle crashes.

• There were 144 SRO activities.

• There were 130 bailiff contacts resulting in 46 calls for service. 

• Four reports of livestock out.
