Troy E. Mitchell

1934 – 2021

Troy E. Mitchell,87, of Pleasanton passed away in Overland Park on Friday, Sept. 17. Troy was born the son of Jesse James and Naomi Folsom Mitchell on June 23, 1934 in Kansas City, Kan. He married Ruby Venable on Oct. 4, 1951, in Kansas City, Mo. She preceded him in death in 1999.

Troy was a television repairman over the years. He enjoyed baseball, football, scratching lottery tickets and was always happy to see his kids and grandkids. Troy was preceded in death by his parents; wife; a son, Dennis Mitchell; a daughter, Belinda Fuller; two brothers, Claude and Jesse Mitchell; three sisters, Virgie Beaven, Lola McQueen and Louise Burch. He is survived by two sons, Troy Mitchell Jr. and wife Edna, Rick Mitchell and wife, Lonna; two daughters, Sherry Fuller and husband Ernie, Rhonda Anderson; 16 grandchildren and 50-plus great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren with another on the way.
