Varsity athletes named queen, king in Courtwarming at PHS

Two varsity basketball players for Pleasanton High School won more than their respective games on Friday, Jan. 27. Seniors Kara Umphenour and Dale Gillespie were crowned 2023 PHS Courtwarming queen and king during a halftime ceremony of the men's game against Altoona-Midway.


Candidates for queen included seniors Brooklyn McQueen and Daylen Williams. Candidates for king included Karsten McKee and Randen Dumcum. Crownbearers for the ceremony were Zeke Querry and Emma Thomas.
