Walter Neal Brown

Walter Neal Brown, age 70 of Mapelton, Kansas, passed away on March 16th at the Overland Park Regional Hospital. (Cremation)

Walter was born on May 15, 1955, in Paola, Kansas to Roy Thurman Brown and Bonnie Swogar Brown. He graduated from Osawatomie in 1973. He worked in construction most of his adult life for several companies before retiring. He enjoyed visiting with family and friends and never met a stranger. He especially enjoyed riding his four-wheeler around the neighborhood.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Roy Gene Brown.

He is survived by three children, Holly, Jeremy, and Lance; sister, Sherry Mitchell; brothers, Gary Lee Brown, Allen Brown, and Billy Joe Brown; and four grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews and friends.

Graveside services will be April 17th at 2 p.m. at the Miami Memorial Gardens Cemetery and a celebration will be April 18th at the Hidden Valley Shelter House at 2 p.m..
