PLEASANTON – The Linn County Emergency Management office announced on Friday, July 19, that homes, small businesses, small agricultural operations and private nonprofit organizations that received damage in the flash flooding of late April can apply for federal funds.

The result of a presidential disaster declaration, the assistance is available to qualified businesses, organizations and residents for funds to cover losses incurred between April 25 to April 30, 2024.

The assistance is limited to instances where there has been “significant damage” (uninsured losses of 40% or more of the estimated fair replacement value or pre-disaster fair market value of the damaged property).

For more information, please contact the county’s Emergency Management office at 1-888-502-2008 or by emailing rhegwald@linncountyem.org  or lsimons@linncountyem.org.
