Lacy Francis "Bud" Clark, age 89, Mound City, Kansas, passed away Thursday, September 19, 2024.  He was born on March 5, 1935, in Sharon, Kansas, the son of Oliver Francis and Mary Jane Sharp Clark.  He graduated from Mound City High School in the Class of 1954.


Bud was united in marriage to Carol Carothers on July 22, 1956, in La Cygne, Kansas.  He worked as a journeyman welder for Kansas City Power and Light before retirement.  He was a member of the Mound City United Methodist Church and IBEW Local #412. He enjoyed camping, boating, fishing and restoring old vehicles.


He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Victor and Richard Clark; and a sister, Betty Avery.  Bud is survived by his wife, Carol; three daughters, Denise Rackley and husband Kevin, Vickie Morgan, and Karen Sue Rackley and husband Jay; a sister, Darlene Youngblood; three grandsons, Ryan and wife Kryssy, Arron, and Cory; and six great-grandchildren.  


Graveside funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at the Woodland Cemetery in Mound City, Kansas.  Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 24, at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Mound City Chapel.  Memorial contributions are suggested to Good Shepherd Hospice. 1317 S.
