Friday night's thunderstorms missed La Cygne, so the fields at La Cygne Community Park were fairly dry and the weather was sunny but cool for the annual Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 4. This year the event was sponsored by the local nonprofit Ray of Hope Community Impact.

With each age group of children assigned a field, egg hunters scattered at the starting signal and began scooping up the bright-colored plastic eggs, some with candy inside and others with tickets for prizes at the shelter house. At the shelter, free donuts awaited egg hunters and their adults.
