MOUND CITY – On Monday, Feb. 13, Linn County Health Department Administrator Missy Lancaster gave her weekly report and encouraged the commissioners to attend the Governor’s Health Conference the end of March in Manhattan.

Lancaster told the commissioners that March 28 was the kick off day for the public health conference and the pre-conference event was a Public Health 101 Course. She suggested that the commissioners might find the information from this course helpful. She said this course presented all the ins and outs of public health.

Lancaster also said that she would be out of the health department on Thursday, Feb 16, for a regional nurse’s meeting.

Lancaster reported that last week the health department did three COVID tests, three COVID boosters, two family planning contacts, 15 women, infant and children (WIC) contacts and one tuberculosis (TB) skin test.
