On Tuesday September 30, Jayhawk-Linn traveled the short distance to Pleasanton for a triangular match with Pleasanton and Altoona Midway. Everything started with Pleasanton playing Altoona. Pleasanton made quick work of Altoona. So, Jayhawk came on, and they too made quick work of Altoona.

Next was the showdown that everyone waited anxiously to see, Jayhawk vs. Pleasanton.

In the first set Jayhawk took the early lead. Yet, the Blu-Jays refused to back down.

With so much senior leadership with the Jayhawks, it was expected that they would walk away quickly. But the young Blu-Jays were not intimidated and kept fighting back. Still, through perseverance and smashing hits, the Blu-Jays finally succumbed to Jayhawk’s strength.

Second set, again the Jayhawks took the lead. The plucky Blu-Jays fought back. Jayhawks scored a couple, the Blu-Jays scored a couple. The fight in the Blu-Jays kept the game close.

You kept seeing the Blu-Jays challenge the Jayhawks at the net, this kept them in the match. Despite all of the fight and huge effort, the Blu-Jays were unable to come all the way back. Jayhawk-Linn walked out with the win and showed they are a team that has a lot of force up front.
