Jayhawk-Linn High School seniors Marissa Batcheler and Austin Nation were crowned Courtwarming queen and king on Friday, Jan. 27, during a halftime ceremony at the men's basketball game against Southeast Cherokee.
Other nominees for queen included Madeline Batcheler, Brynn Collier and Remi Rothlisberger. King candidates included Isaiah Casner, Zach Grant and Chance Proffitt.
Royalty attendants for the crowning ceremony were Kutter Knight and Penelope Collete. Alina Rhea, 2022 JLHS Courtwarming queen, was also on hand to help with the crowning of the new queen and king.
