It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Leslie "Joan" Feighner, who passed on November 8, 2025, at her home in Lane, Kansas, surrounded by those who loved her most. She was 84 years old.

Joan was born on July 20, 1941, in Osawatomie, Kansas, to Leslie Darrell Bolling and Ruth Elizabeth Porter Bolling. She attended Fontana Schools and later pursued business studies, which led to a lifelong career with Boilermakers National Funds—a role she held with dedication and pride.

On October 8, 1960, Joan married Ernest James "Jim" Feighner, beginning a journey of love with her best friend that spanned over 65 years. Together, they built a life grounded in unconditional love and laughter.

Joan is survived by her husband, Jim Feighner of the home; daughters Lisa Blaylock (Lenn) of Baldwyn, MS; Theresa Meyer (David) of Pittsburg, MO; Sue Feighner (Troy Oney) of Aurora, MO; and son Kelly Feighner (Kathy) of Lane, KS. She was a cherished grandmother to Ashley, Jody, David, and Lyndsi, and a proud great-grandmother to 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Ruth Bolling, and her sister, Buella Christine.

A visitation will be held on Monday, November 10, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Eddy-Birchard Funeral Home in Osawatomie. Memorial contributions are suggested to Prairie Paws.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of Joan’s remarkable life
