This weekend boasts shopping events that include boutiques, crafters, jewelry makers, candies and treats in both Mound City and La Cygne.
The Spring Holiday Mart at the Linn County Fairgrounds north of Mound City on Kansas Highway 7 runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 23. It is sponsored by the Linn County 4-H Council.
On Sunday, the La Cygne Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the Pop Up Shop for local vendors, crafters and food trucks at the La Cygne Community Park, 520 S. First Street. The event runs from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The Spring Holiday Mart on Saturday features more than 20 vendors including baked goods, flowers, jewelry, custom cups, purses, wood burned art, wine, fresh pork, honey, quilts, candles, Tupperware, Pampered Chef, pottery, clothing, and pens.
Although posters for the event have the start time as 10 a.m., the mart will be open for business at 9 a.m., an hour earlier.
The more than 30 vendors for the Pop Up Shop on Sunday in La Cygne will include women’s clothing, baked goods, custom cookies, boutiques, candies, t-shirts, wine, beads, a backwoods consultant, kettle corn, and jewelry.
