PLEASANTON – The illuminated Pleasanton Christmas parade returns for its fourth year on Saturday, Dec. 9, however, an afternoon of activities awaits area residents before Santa arrives in the evening.

Beginning at 2 p.m., several vendors will open shop at the Pleasanton Library. Vendors include a hand-carved wooden bowl maker, Natural Yucca products, Sister Sass Boutique, and Meagan Portmann’s Handmade Creations. Vendors will remain at the library until 6 p.m.

Also from 2 to 4 p.m. residents can try their luck at Bingo at the Pleasanton Community Center.

From 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Christmas dinner will be served at the community center.

At 5:45 p.m. parade entrees begin lining up for the parade, which will roll down Main Street at 6:30 p.m. To register to be in the parade, send an email to Dillon Roberts at d.rob_70@yahoo.com.

Santa is expected to arrive at the community center at the end of the parade, and he will pose for photos and double check wish lists with the children.

Children who are running for Snowflake Princess and Little Jack Frost will be selling raffle tickets for a drawing that evening.
