Mark William Madl, age 70, Shawnee, Kansas, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2026. He was born on May 5, 1955, in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of William and Mary Boots Madl.


He was a sheet metal worker and was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union Local #2. Mark was united in marriage to Holly Young on September 9, 1978. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, collecting guns, and spending time at Table Rock Lake.


Mark is survived by his wife, Holly; three daughters, Katie Groner and husband John, Kelly Madl, and Kimberly Madl-Hackney and husband Donald; two brothers, Daniel Madl, and Roger Madl; and six grandchildren, Dacey, Cameron, Rory, Aiden, Remington, and Quin.


A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, January 17, 2026, at the Schneider Funeral Home, Mound City Chapel. Visitation will follow the service until 12:30 p.m. at the Chapel. Memorial contributions are suggested to Kansas Hunter's Education. Online condolences can be left at www.schneiderfunerals.com.
