Mound City woman killed in accident on K-7 highway

MOUND CITY – A 67-year-old Mound City woman was killed on Monday when the pickup she was driving on Kansas Highway 7 failed to negotiate a curve. The accident occurred about a mile north of Mound City.

Jody N. Russell was southbound on K-7 when the 1997 Dodge Dakota she was driving left the road and struck a tree. She was pronounced dead at the scene. She was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol report.
