Journal staff report

The threathening rain held off long enough on Saturday afternoon, October. 31, for the Halloween parade and trunk-or-treat event sponsored by PALS (the Parker Area Ladies Society) to be pulled off without a hitch. More than 100 children, moms, dads, grandmas and grandpas began the stroll down Main Street, stopping at cars and SUVs decorated for the occasion and loading up on candy.

Minions for all. The LawRance family donned outfits mimicking the high-voiced creatures from the movie of the same name.

Cadence, left, wears a scarecrow outfit fashioned by her grandmother, Clara Higgins.

Kari Brandt greets Cheyanne Hastings and her son, Harvey.

This ominous truck of treasure and candy is manned by Paula Mcguire, left, and Jacque Kirkland.
