Pleasanton man injured when car strikes rail, overturns

MOUND CITY – A 63-year-old Pleasanton man was injured around noon on Wednesday, Jan. 11, when the 2005 Ford he was driving left the right side of the County Road 1150, struck a concrete bridge rail and then overturned.


David Streigel was driving east on the road just east of the Knapp Lane intersection when the accident occurred. Fire crews were called to use extrication equipment to get him out of the vehicle, according to the Linn County Sheriff’s Office report.

He was transported to Overland Park Regional Medical Center by air ambulance. The vehicle was destroyed in the accident, according to the report.
