LA CYGNE – A three-bedroom, two-bath, open-concept house at 402 S. Sixth Street in La Cygne will be shown in an open house on Thursday, Aug. 17, from 4 to 6:30 p.m.

The district is taking bids on the house, and they are due at the district office at 13799 Kansas Highway 152 by noon on Sept. 15.

The house, built by Prairie View students during the 2022-23 school year, is not completely finished and is being sold as is.

The house sits on a double lot, has a two-car garage, a basement with a laundry on the first floor, a master suite and an open kitchen.

Most of the drywall has been installed, but it has not been taped or finished. The heating/air conditioning system was installed by students in the STARS program in Pleasanton, and while it is complete it has not been tested.

The plumbing has been roughed in but is not complete, the electrical wiring has been run but is not hooked up, and the interior doors and garage doors are on-site but have not been installed.

For more information, contact district Superintendent Chris Johnson by calling (913) 757-2677 or sending email to cjohnson2@pv362.org.
