Prairie View Homecoming activities begin on Sunday

Prairie View High School's Homecoming week begins Sunday, Sept. 29, with each class painting windows at participating businesses. Painting begins at 6 p.m. and in La Cygne seniors will paint the café, juniors will paint Simple Simons, and sophomores will decorate the library's windows. Freshman will paint the window of One Stop in Parker.


On Monday, Sept. 30, the Prairie View Booster Club and First Option Bank will serve a meal at 6:30 p.m. at the football field. A powder puff game will begin at 7 p.m., and the bonfire will follow the game.


As homecoming tradition dictates, each day during homecoming week will have a theme. The list is on the flyer below.


On Friday, the main event happens. Prairie View FFA serves its annual chili feed from 5 to 7 p.m. in the school's small gym.


Crowning of the 2024 king and queen will occur before the football game at around 6:30 p.m. and kickoff is at 7 p.m. Following the game is the homecoming dance from 9 to 11 p.m. for PVHS students and their guests.
