MOUND CITY – Jennifer Day, the Democratic candidate for the Kansas Secretary of State office, will be hosting a meet-and-greet at the F&M Bank Community Building on Wednesday, August 12, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided.

Day (D-Mission) won the primary election on August 4 against Samuel Lane (D-Shawnee), taking 85% of the vote. She will face Sen. Pat Proctor in the November general election.

A former member of the state House of Representatives, Day has worked for the Johnson County Election Office as an election worker for seven years and is a volunteer for the League of Women Voters.
