Shaun Robert Arehart, age 42, of Paola, Kansas, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2025. Shaun was born on November 15, 1982, in Norton, Kansas. He was the eldest child and only son of Robert Dean and Charlanda Sue (Paden) Arehart. He grew up in Osawatomie, Kansas, and attended Osawatomie High School, where he made many lasting friendships.

After high school, Shaun entered the workforce and built a diverse and accomplished career. Over the years, he installed hot tubs, worked for Harris Milling and Geiger Concrete Company, and most recently served as a superintendent with KJ Construction. He took pride in his work and was respected for his leadership and dedication.

Shaun was a man of many talents and interests. In his free time, he loved to tinker—whether it was working on cars, woodworking, or building model cars. He had a passion for learning new things and could often be found deep in a project, driven by curiosity and creativity.

His greatest joy and proudest accomplishment in life was his son, Kane. Shaun was a devoted and loving father who cherished every moment with him. Whether traveling across the United States on work trips that turned into mini-vacations or simply spending time together at home, Shaun was always there—teaching, encouraging, and making memories. He never missed a game and would even stand in the rain just to watch Kane play football.

Shaun was known for his sense of humor, quick wit, and sarcastic charm. He had a natural ability to lighten any mood and make those around him laugh. He was also an excellent cook who loved grilling and smoking meat for his family and friends. With a generous heart and vibrant personality, Shaun was truly one of a kind.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Charlanda Arehart.

Shaun is survived by his beloved son, Kane Arehart of the home; his sister and brother-in-law, Alexis and Billy Shadden; two nieces; and a host of extended family and friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, June 7, 2025, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. at Eddy- Birchard Funeral Home 203 Main Street, Osawatomie, KS 66064
