Sheriff's report for week ending April 5

MOUND CITY – The Linn County’s Sheriff’s report for Monday, April 7, showed the current numbers for the week ending April 5 were:


• Total prisoners at the Justice Center the past week were 55. Six prisoners were released the past week.

• Total prisoners in were 54.

• One  prisoner was sent to another facility. (One competency evaluation) 

• Thirty-eight prisoners were from other facilities (29 U.S. Marshals Service, 6 Wyandotte County, 3 other, $3,107/day)

• Total 911 calls were 76. 

• There were 4,035 jail contacts.                                                                                                       • Total calls for service were 654. 

• Total civil service papers served were 16.

• There were 13 vehicle identification number (VIN) inspection.

• Twenty-seven new cases (criminal, child in need of care, etc.) were opened.

• Twelve cases were closed.

• There were six vehicle crashes.

• There were 132 SRO activities. 

• There were 175 bailiff contacts resulting in 17 calls for service. 

• One report of livestock out.
