State veterans services to sponsor benefit and claims event

Kansas Office of Veterans Services

The Kansas Office of Veterans is sponsoring a veteran benefit and claims event on April 24 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Wichita. The location is 2808 N. New York St.

This event will afford veterans and surviving spouses to get the Veterans Administration and state benefits they earned with their military service.

VA will have exams on site with their mobile exams staff, and the Kansas Office of Veterans Services will have benefit assistance representatives on site to help file for benefits. 

This event is for all veterans, and Native American and Kansas National Guardsmen are especially invited.

Information and assistance provided includes:

• Toxic Exposure information

• Enroll in VA Healthcare

• File VA Disability Claims

• Get VA Health Exams

• Native and Tribal Veterans Resources on site

• Women’s Healthcare and Service Officer

• Get Military Records/DD214

• Surviving Spouse Benefit Information

• Suicide Prevention Information

• National Guard Resources on site

• Veterans' Organizations
