UPDATE: There has been some confusion on the tax records on the link below. This is not a list of people who are delinquent on the their taxes. It is a searchable list of ALL taxpayers. We regret the confusion this has caused.
MOUND CITY – More than 120 properties will be up for sale for past due taxes on this Friday, Aug. 22, at the 4-H Building at the Linn County Fairgrounds just north of Mound City. The sale bidding begins at 11 a.m. A list of the properties, many of them lake lots, can be found at https://www.linncountyks.com/departments/treasurer/2025-tax-sale-properties .

In order to bid on the properties, you must be preregistered. For more information, contact the county treasurer’s office at 913-795-2227.
The county treasurer has also posted property owners who owe taxes. To go to the searchable website, here is the link: https://linn.kansasgov.com/tax .
First, ALL property owners are on this list, whether their taxes are current or not. This is not a list of only property owners who are delinquent on their taxes.
In order to find whether you or anyone else has paid or needs to pay taxes, you can enter a last name or a company name, tax identification or tax year. You can also search by address and street. On that site, tax records go back to 2020.
The record will show the legal description of the property, which taxing entities levy taxes against the property (school districts, townships), the assessed valuation of the property, what the tax bill was for that year, how much the owner paid in taxes, and whether the payment was at some point delinquent (DLQ: yes or no).
if the taxes were paid late, the amount paid will equal the tax bill, however, under DLQ "Yes" will be typed in. If the payment was on time, DLQ will read "No."
