Warming centers open in Blue Mound and Prescott

Heartland Rural Electric Co-operative reported just after noon on Sunday, Jan. 5, about current outages. Some of those were caused by outages on Evergy's lines. (Heartland Rural Electric Co-operative Facebook)


PLEASANTON – The Linn County Emergency Management Department announced on Sunday morning that emergency warming centers have opened in Prescott and Blue Mound following a disruption on electrical power to those areas.


Here's is where you can go until power is restored:


Prescott Baptist Church, 285 W. Main Street


• Blue Mound Senior Center, 312 W. Main
