Clarence William "Bill" Craven, age 79, La Cygne, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2024. He was born in La Cygne, Kansas, on June 26, 1945. He was employed by the City of La Cygne in charge of the trash compactor and the dog pound. After retiring from the City of La Cygne he cut and sold wood and mowed yards.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Wilma Cowley; a brother, Orville Schulenberg; nieces; nephews; extended family and friends.  

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 12, 2024, at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, La Cygne Chapel. Burial will be in the Jingo Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to service time at the La Cygne Chapel. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
