Donald Lee Porter, age 89, passed away Sunday, December 28, 2025. He was born on October 31, 1936, in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of R.A. and Roxie Smith Porter.

He was employed as a maintenance engineer. His long time companion and wife, Phyllis King Porter preceded him in death on August 13, 2015. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Don is survived by two sons, Ronald Porter and Richard Porter; four daughters, Donna Talley, Leora Porter, Crystal Cascanett, and Kelly Porter; a brother, Raymond Porter; three sisters, Carol Porter, Marilyn Birdsong, and Cathy Barnhill; and grandchildren, Abbigail, Christopher, Elizabeth, Goliath, Lily, Jayden, Catalyna, and Temperance.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, January 5, 2026, at the Schneider Funeral Home, La Cygne Chapel. Burial will be in the Oak Lawn Cemetery.
