The 2023 Ride for Grady’s Kids is set for this Saturday, July 8, beginning at the Wagon Wheel restaurant at the intersection of Market and Fifth streets in La Cygne.

The ride is a fundraiser for the Grady’s Kids, a not-for-profit organization that provides resources for children in need in Linn County. Named after the late Grady Elder, an art teacher at Prairie View High School, the work of the organization is carried on by members of his family.

On Saturday, riders will meet for registration and breakfast beginning at 9:30 a.m. Kickstands go up at 11 a.m. The donation for the ride is $20 per person or $35 per couple. While most people will make the ride on their motorcycles, people driving cars and trucks are also welcome.

In addition to the ride, Grady’s Kids will also hold a silent auction at the Blast in the Park event in the La Cygne Community Park later Saturday evening.
