Jackie Junior "Jack" Hewitt, 89, Friendship, Tennessee, died peacefully with his loving wife by his side on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at Bells Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Jack was born July 17,1935 in Miami County, Kansas, to the late Fletcher Merle and Velma Rogers Hewitt.


He was a truck driver, veteran of the United States Army and a member of Friendship United Methodist Church. He loved working in the yard and mowing on his John Deere riding lawn mower, reading, cooking on the grill and fixing breakfast.


He leaves his wife, Anita Gage Hewitt of Friendship; sons, Cary Hewitt of Friendship, Jackie Hewitt of Illinois; sisters, Virigina McGee and Little Joyce Hewitt of La Cygne, KS; grandchildren, Keith, Courtney, Caitlin, Charlie, Corallynn, Darryl; 22 great-grandchildren.
