Jimmey Howard Murr, Kansas City, Missouri, formerly of La Cygne, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2024.  He was born on October 20, 1950, in Nevada, Missouri, the son of James Clettis and Dawn Overstreet Murr.  He was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.


He was united in marriage to Vickey McClanahan.  She preceded him in death.  He worked as a cement mason and was a member of the Cement Masons Local 518.  Jimmey and the rest of the family always looked forward to a big July 4th celebration.  He liked tinkering in his garage and Harley Davidson motorcycles.  He ordered a new bike for his 50th birthday.  


He was also preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Linda Senkevich.  Jimmey is survived by his children, Jammie Bailey and husband Chris and Shawn Murr; his significant other, Sue Ferrell; four sisters, Sandra Reynolds, Jennie Pearce, Karen Morris and Terrie Smith; and three grandchildren, Peyton, Aidan, and Chase.
