Kathryn Paulette Curry

February 27, 1945 — January 31, 2026
La Cygne, Kansas

Kathryn Paulette Curry, age 80, La Cygne, Kan., passed away Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026. She was born on Feb. 27, 1945, in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of Rudolph George and Dorothy Trecel Burrous Obermeier.


She graduated from La Cygne Rural High School, in 1963. She worked as a Sales Representative for Stine Soybeans, managed the Ensminger Grain Elevator, and finished her career managing a senior care facility. Paulette was united in marriage to Robert Curry on July 4, 2004.


She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Kathy Dougherty; a grandson; and two step-grandchildren.


Paulette is survived by her husband Bob; daughter, Lisa Tatsch-Sanford and husband Jeff; stepdaughter, Share Tatsch-Saenger and husband Roy; stepson Perry Tatsch; two brothers, Bill Obermeier, and Rudy Obermeier; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; and great -step-grandchildren.


Funeral service will be 10 a.m.  Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2026, at Calvary Baptist Church, La Cygne. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9, at Schneider Funeral Home Chapel, La Cygne. Memorial contributions are suggested and can be made to St Jude Children’s Hospital or Shriner Children’s Hospital. Online condolences can be left at www.schneiderfunerals.com
