MOUND CITY – The Linn County Commissioners received reports from the ambulance and fire department services on Monday, Dec. 1.
Fire Chief Randy Hegwald reported that there were 16 total calls for the past week which brings the yearly total up to 548 calls.
Hegwald said that it had been a very busy weekend on the fire department side and he appreciated all the crews. He said that there had been a couple of big incidents and that crews spent quite a bit of time out over the holidays.
Hegwald said, “The weather’s starting to cool off so I appreciate all the time they put in for running that many calls this week.”
The American Medical Response (AMR) report from Nov. 1 through Nov. 30 showed there had been a total of 130 calls resulting in 60 transports. The average response time is 16 minutes 26 seconds. The calls by city were:
• Blue Mound, 10 calls, 3 transports
• Centerville, 4 calls, 2 transports
• Fulton, 0 calls, 0 transports
• Greeley, 0 calls, 0 transports
• La Cygne, 29 calls, 13 transports
• Fontana, 2 calls, 0 transports
• Lane, 0 calls, 0 transports
`• Linn Valley, 17 calls, 12 transports
• Mapleton, 0 calls, 0 transports
• Rich Hill, 0 calls, 0 transports
• Mound City, 17 calls, 10 transports
• Parker, 10 calls, 3 transports
• Pleasanton 37 calls, 17 transports
• Prescott, 2 calls, 1 transport
Response numbers and times for this time period by commission districts are:
District 1 - 48 responses, 25 transports, 15 minutes 40 seconds average response time
District 2 – 50 responses, 21 transports, 15 minutes 44 seconds average response time
District 3 – 32 responses, 14 transports, 18 minutes 39 seconds average response time
