Linn County Sheriff's Office report for week ending Feb. 14

 MOUND CITY – The Linn County Sheriff’s report for Monday, Feb. 9, showed the current numbers for the week ending Feb. 7.


  • Total prisoners at the Justice Center the past week were 68. Seventeen prisoners were released the past week.

  • Total prisoners in were 68.

  • No prisoners were sent to another facility.

  • Fifty prisoners were from other facilities (20 United States Marshall Service, 30 Wyandotte County, $3,785.50 per day.

  • Total 911 calls were 62.

  • There were 3,755 jail contacts.

  • Total calls for service were 797. 

  • Total civil service papers served were 23.

  • There were 11 vehicle identification number (VIN) inspections.

  • Thirty-one new cases (criminal, child in need of care, etc.) were opened.

  • Sixteen cases were closedThere were 11 vehicle crashes.

  • School Resource Officer calls for service were 163.

  • The number of bailiff contacts was 130 resulting in 41 calls for service. 

  • There was one report of livestock out.
