County fire, ambulance report on Aug. 24

MOUND CITY – The Linn County Commissioners received reports from the ambulance, fire department and emergency management services on Monday, Aug. 24.

Linn County Fire Chief Shaun Tuggle gave the weekly fire report. Tuggle  said there was one vehicle fire, one carbon monoxide check, one power line down, two smoke investigations, two crash detections, three wild land fires, and four emergency medical service (EMS) assists resulting in 421 calls to date.                                                                                                 

Commission Chair Alison Hamilton read the American Medical Response (AMR) report for Aug. 1 through Aug.t 23. The report showed there had been a total of 103 calls resulting in 66 transports. The average response time is 15 minutes 4 seconds. The calls by city were:

• Blue Mound, 4 call, 3 transports

• Centerville, 5 calls, 2 transports                                             

• Fulton, 0 calls, 0 transports                                                                                       

• Greeley, 0 calls, 0 transports

• La Cygne, 43 calls, 32 transports

• Fontana, 0 calls, 0 transports

• Lane, 0 calls, 0 transports

• Linn Valley, 0 calls, 0 transports

• Mapleton, 0 calls, 0 transports

• Rich Hill, 0 calls, 0 transports

• Mound City, 19 calls, 8 transports

• Parker, 2 calls, 1 transport

• Pleasanton 27 calls, 17 transports

• Prescott, 3 call, 3 transports                                                                  

Response numbers and times for this time period by commission districts are:

• District 1 – 44 responses, 32 transports, 15 minutes 22 seconds average response time

• District 2 – 35 responses, 24 transports, 11 minutes 27 seconds average response time
