Linn County Sheriff's report for week ending Feb. 21

 MOUND CITY – The Linn County Sheriff’s report for Monday, Feb. 23, showed the current numbers for the week ending Feb. 21.


  • Total prisoners at the Justice Center the past week were 52. Fourteen prisoners were released the past week.

  • Total prisoners in were 52.

  • No prisoners were sent to another facility. 

  • Thirty-five prisoners were from other facilities (19 United States Marshall Service, 16 Wyandotte County, $2,752 per day.)

  • Total 911 calls were 78.

  • There were 4,783 jail contacts.                                                                                                           Total calls for service were 790. 

  • Total civil service papers served were 32.                                                                                         There were 12 vehicle identification number (VIN) inspections.

  • Twenty-three new cases (criminal, child in need of care, etc.) were opened.

  • Twelve cases were closed.

  • There were two vehicle crashes.

  • SRO calls for service were 134.

  • The number of bailiff contacts was 161 resulting in 44 calls for service.                                          There were no reports of livestock out.
