Linn County Sheriff's report for week ending March 21

MOUND CITY – The Linn County Sheriff’s report for Monday, March 23, showed the current numbers for the week ending March 21.


  • Total prisoners at the Justice Center the past week were 58. Fourteen prisoners were released the past week.

  • Total prisoners in were 58.

  • No prisoners were sent to another facility.

  • Twenty-nine prisoners were from other facilities (20 United States Marshall Service, 9 Wyandotte County, $2,367.50 per day.)

  • Total 911 calls were 82.

  • There were 5,981 jail contacts.                                                                                            

  • Total calls for service were 899.

  • Total civil service papers served were 15.                                                                                  

  • There were 21 vehicle identification number (VIN) inspections.

  • Thirty-three new cases (criminal, child in need of care, etc.) were opened.

  • Five cases were closed.

  • There were eight vehicle crashes.

  • The number of bailiff contacts was 127 resulting in 53 calls for service.                                

  • There were no reports of livestock out.

  • There were no SRO calls for service because of spring break..
