Below is a summary of persons recently taken into custody by Linn County law enforcement officers and booked into the Linn County jail. All of the persons listed are presumed innocent until proven guilty.


January 24

• Jace Garrett, Wichita, was taken into custody by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office for alleged probation violation.

• Teeple-Barracchini, La Cygne, was taken into custody by the La Cygne Police Department for alleged failure to appear in court.

• Chester Casida, La Cygne, was taken into custody by the La Cygne Police Department for alleged failure to appear in court.


January 22

• Jana Speedone, Pleasanton, was taken into custody by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office for alleged failure to appear in court.

January 21

• Ronald Whatley, Cortez, Colo., was taken into custody by the Linn Valley Police Department for alleged burglary, unknown circumstance; criminal damage to property, felony.

•Christina Hurst, Adrian, Mo., was taken into custody by the Linn Valley Police Department for alleged burglary, unknown circumstance; criminal damage to property, felony.


January 20

• Nathan Bland, La Cygne, was taken into custody by the Pleasanton Police Department for alleged pedestrians under the influence of alcohol or drugs; criminal damage to property; without consent value less than $1,000.

• Allyn Mackey, La Cygne, was taken into custody by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office for alleged criminal damage to property; without consent value <$1,000.


January 19

• Loretta Barbee, Mound City, was taken into custody by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office for alleged theft of property or services; value less than $1,500.

* Heidi Bolden, Mound City, was taken into custody by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office for alleged aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer; great body harm to state/county/city officer on duty; improper use of roadway by pedestrian; interference with.
