Linn County Sheriff's report for week ending Aug. 23

MOUND CITY – The Linn County’s Sheriff’s report for Monday, Aug. 25, showed the current numbers for the week ending Aug. 23 were:


• Total prisoners at the Justice Center the past week were 46. Nineteen prisoners were released the past week.

• Total prisoners in were 45.

• One prisoner was sent to another facility. (competency evaluation) 

•Thirty-four prisoners were from other facilities (19 U.S. Marshals Service, 14 Wyandotte County, 1 Kansas Department of Corrections, $2,724.50 day.)

• Total 911 calls were 76. 

• There were 3,853 jail contacts.                                                                                                        • Total calls for service were 586. 

• Total civil service papers served were 29.                                                                               

• There were eight vehicle identification number (VIN) inspections.

• Twenty-nine new cases (criminal, child in need of care, etc.) were opened.

• Nine cases were closed.

• There were 3 vehicle crashes.

• There were 4 SRO activities. 

• There were 235 bailiff contacts resulting in 59 calls for service.                                                   • One report of livestock out was received.
