Linn County Sheriff's report for week ending Aug. 9

MOUND CITY – The Linn County’s Sheriff’s report for Monday, Aug. 11, showed the current numbers for the week ending Aug. 9 were:


• Total prisoners at the Justice Center the past week were 51. Nineteen prisoners were released the past week.

• Total prisoners in were 50.

• One prisoner was sent to another facility. (competency evaluation)

• Thirty-four prisoners were from other facilities (20 from U.S. Marshals Service, 14 from Wyandotte County, $2,705 day.

• Total 911 calls were 66. 

• There were 4,154 jail contacts.                                                                                                         • Total calls for service were 608.

• Total civil service papers served were 26.                                                                                    

• There were eleven vehicle identification number (VIN) inspections.

• Thirty new cases (criminal, child in need of care, etc.) were opened.

• Eleven cases were closed.

• There were four vehicle crashes.

• There were no SRO activities. (Summer break)

• There were 170 bailiff contacts resulting in 58 calls for service.                                                  

• One report of livestock out was received.
