Linn County Sheriff's report for week ending Feb. 28

MOUND CITY – The Linn County Sheriff’s report for Monday, March 2, showed the current numbers for the week ending Saturday, Feb. 28.

• Total prisoners at the Justice Center the past week were 52. Twelve prisoners were released the past week.

• Total prisoners in were 52.

• No prisoners were sent to another facility.

• Thirty-eight prisoners were from other facilities (23 United States Marshall Service, 15 Wyandotte County, $3,036.50 per day.)

• Total 911 calls were 88.

• There were 4,768 jail contacts.

• Total calls for service were 798.

• Total civil service papers served were 32.

• There were 12 vehicle identification number (VIN) inspections.

• Forty-three new cases (criminal, child in need of care, etc.) were opened.

• Twenty-three cases were closed.

• There were 8 vehicle crashes.

• School resource officer calls for service were 143.

• The number of bailiff contacts was 93 resulting in 54 calls for service.  

• There was one report of livestock out.
