Lola Belle Rook Adams, age 95, Mound City, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2024.  She was born on August 23, 1928, in El Dorado, Kansas, the daughter of Jess and Hazel Van Fleet Rook.  She was united in marriage to Bernal Adams in September of 1947.  They resided on his family's dairy farm on Wesley Chapel Road until 1977 when they moved into Mound City. They remained active, but, especially enjoyed time camping at Branson in their fifth wheel camper.  Belle's favorite job was having a day care in her home. In later life she looked forward to a weekly pitch game with her card group.  She was a member of the Mound City United Methodist Church.  Belle was preceded in death by husband, Bernal, in March of 1994 and daughter Diane in October of 2007.  


Graveside funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, June 10, 2024, at the Wesley Chapel Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to departure for the cemetery at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory Mound City Chapel.  Memorial contributions are suggested to American Diabetes Foundation or the Mound City United Methodist Church.
