Ronald Raymond Howard


April 7, 1946 — July 20, 2026


Ronald Raymond Howard, age 80 of Pleasanton, Kansas, passed away on July 20, 2026, at the Olathe Medical Center. He was born the son of Melvin and Ruth Fischer Howard on April 7, 1946, in Hamburg, Iowa.


Ron was an artist and studied first at the Kansas City Art Institute and then traveling to New York where he earned his master's degree. He loved working with his hands, not only sculpting with his artwork, but also in woodworking, fixing electric bikes and anything that needed fixing he would give it a try. He was a very intelligent and knowledgeable person and liked to talk.


He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Sharon and two sisters, Beverly Hudson and Betty Johnson. Ron is survived by his daughter, April (A.J.) Howard; two grandchildren, Christian Lee Bolner and Danielle Nicole Ward; and one great-grandchild, Luke Alexander Ward, with another on the way. There are no services scheduled at this time.
