Louis Edwin "Eddy" Benson, age 59, La Cygne, Kansas, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2023. He was born in Paola, Kansas, on July 21, 1964, the son of Larry Benson and Linda Virgin.

He graduated from Prairie View High School in the Class of 1982. He then attended trade school at Beloit, Kansas receiving a certification as an operating engineer in 1983. He became a member of the Operating Engineers Union Local #101.

Eddy enjoyed fishing, hunting, guns and anything outdoors. He loved kids, supporting many organizations along the way.

He is survived by his mother, Linda McCammon and husband James; his father, Larry Benson and wife Barbara; a brother, Rodney Benson and wife Christina; a niece, Sabrina Benson and fiancé David Hartman; and a great niece, Bristol Benson.
