Ray Scholarship a testament to grandparents' belief in education

Letter to the editor

Don & Betty Ray were my loving, amazing, hardworking, and wonderful Grandparents…these were just a few words to describe them. They were an example to us still today in how they worked, cared for others, and loved each other.

Their surviving Son, is my Father, Donald Raymond Ray Jr. of San Antonio, Texas. Grandchildren are Dan Frazier of Santa Fe, N.M.; Stephen Frazier of Lake Worth Beach, Fla.; Gale Cohen of Sudbury, Mass; and myself, Courtney Phillips of Sachse, Texas. And there are six beautiful Great-grandchildren.

.

We are thrilled to see the scholarship recipients of this year and prior recipients being awarded and happy to see our Grandparents' legacy and wishes granted! They believed very strongly in education and also lived by their faith. They were loved by many and loved helping others.

Respectfully,

Courtney Frazier Phillips

Sachse, Texas
