Robert Zane Hayes

June 26, 1960 — August 23, 2023 Fort Scott, Kansas

Robert Zane Hayes, age 63 of Fort Scott, Kansas passed away at his home on August 23, 2023. He was born the son of Virgil and Berniece Copling Hayes on June 26, 1960, at St. Louis, Missouri.

Robert enjoyed drawing and putting puzzles together, he had a great love for animals, especially dogs, he was known to make pets out of cows as well, he also loved children, especially those living in the trailer court as well as his nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Otis and Roger; and two sisters, Connie and Maryann. Robert is survived by his wife, Katherine; daughter, Brianna Lynn Kosark; three granddaughters, Sophia, Emma, and Vanapolle; six brothers, Curtis Hayes, James Hayes, David Hayes, Donald Hayes, Noah Hayes, and Virgil Hayes; and four sisters, Edith Massey, Zelma Alexander, Jane Young, and Daisy Abbott.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at the Pleasanton Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Robert Hayes Memorial. Online condolences may be left at www.schneiderfunerals.com.
