Venita Bruner Miller, age 92, Kincaid, Kansas, passed away Monday, November 18, 2024. She was born on December 15, 1931, in the Burke Street Mercy Hospital in Fort Scott, Kansas, the daughter of Walter and Agnes Mackie Bruner.


She attended Mud Holler Grade School and graduated from Blue Mound High School in the Class of 1949. She was united in marriage to John Keith Miller on September 18, 1949, in the Blue Mound Federated Church. He preceded her in death in 2007.


She was a mother of five, grandmother of eleven, and great-grandmother of thirteen. Venita was a 4-H leader and a member of the OK Club.


She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Venita Marie in 1952; son, Virgil Keith Miller in 2002 and later his wife Nancy Sue; a twin brother, Virgil Bruner; brothers, Willard Bruner, and Joe Bruner; sisters, Leora Ross, Lorraine Wilcox, Pauline Seitz, Mary Josephine Bruner, Marilyn Bruner, and Shirley Ball; and son-in-law Jim Meech.


Venita is survived by a son, Jim Miller(Jayne); two daughters, Nancy Ann Miller, and Marita Meech; eleven grandchildren, Jessica Wyckoff, Donald Wyckoff, Jeff Miller(Jenni), Jerrica Miller, Kristen Krull(Chad), Jalyssa Brummer(Andy), Dani Snyder(Brett), Elizabeth Meech, J.W. Meech(Brenna), Burke McCullough, Brooke Ann McCullough, and Christy Lynn McCullough; and thirteen great-grandchildren, Reagan, Reed, Raylen, Ryder, Ella, Lilyan, Delayne, Sylas, Paxton, Breckyn, Burke Brock, Atley, and MaKenley. 


Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, November 23, 2024, at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Mound City Chapel.  Burial will be in the Sunny Slope Cemetery, Blue Mound, Kansas.  Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 22, 2024, at the Mound City Chapel.  Memorial contributions are suggested to Jim Meech Agri-Med Crisis Foundation.  Online condolences can be left at www.schneiderfunerals.com.
