Vicki A. Capp, age 69 of Mapleton, Kansas, passed away on Monday, November 6, 2023, at the Olathe Hospice House. She was born the daughter of Frank E. and Claudeane (Shaw) Craig on August 8, 1954, at Fort Lewis, Washington. Vicki married Earl Capp on January 25, 1980 at the Wyandotte County Courthouse in Kansas City, Kansas.


She enjoyed playing cornhole, crafting, canning, cooking and baking, but she absolutely loved being around campfires, being a grandma first and doing for others before herself.


Vicki was preceded in death by her parents, and a son, Shawn Michael Bartimus. She is survived by her husband Earl of the home; son Robert Capp and wife, Jacqueline; two sisters, Connie Jo Wright and husband Hank and Karen Bales and husband Larry; six grandchildren, Kyrsten Collins and husband James, Kelton, Kylin, Jazmin, Aurora and Anastasia; and three great-grandchildren, Alailah, Raelynne and Ryder.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Friday, November 17, 2023, at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel. The family suggests contributions to The American Cancer Society. Those may be sent in care of the funeral home to P.O. Box 525 Pleasanton, KS 66075.
